THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) conducted a special seminar for Tamil school headmasters in Kedah with the cooperation of the state headmasters association, Malaysia Nanban reported.
The two-hour seminar took place at a Tamil school in Sungai Petani and was conducted by an official from the state MACC office.
She explained to them the laws and regulations that school administrations would have to heed when handling allocations, preparing accounts and maintaining records.
If the proper procedures were followed, none of the schools would face any issue or accusation of corruption or mismanagement, she said.
> The Kuantan Rotary Club donated 26 tables and 60 chairs for use in SJK(T) Indera Mahkota’s canteen, Makkal Osai reported.
The school has about 400 students and 30 teachers.
